Welcome! Here you will find a collection of old books, manuals, pictures, postcards and papers about the United States Army Air Forces (AAF) during World War II. The AAF was sometimes called the Army Air Corps. This is an ever-growing collection of information about Army Air Fields and training facilities, including pilot, navigator, bombardier, radio and gunnery schools.

Recommended Books

For further reading, here are some contemporary books I recommend. Available from Amazon.com.

Winged Victory Jimmy Stewart: Bomber Pilot Inferno Possum

A good narrative of the growing pangs of the Army Air Forces.

He was more than just a Hollywood actor in the AAF.

The bombing of Hamburg as seen from both sides.

A no nonsense account of a navigator in the Eighth Air Force.
